First of all, a big thanks to the members of this forum. I have setup my Vulkano box in India and the discussions on this forum have been a big support in getting that done.
I have a specific question in regard to Vulkano's DLNA/UPNP feature. I have an iOmega iConnect NAS/DLNA server which Vulkano is able to find and populate the directory structure for (through the easter egg). Unfortunately, while Vulkano shows the directories, it doesn't show the actual media files (any of pictures/video/music), and thus I can't play any of the media on my TV screen. iConnect uses a Twonky media server inside it. Any pointers on how I can get Vulkano to show my DLNA media on the TV screen would be much appreciated.

Update: My problem above is got fixed with the latest Vulkano firmware update. Thanks!

The new update to Vulkano's DLNA/UPNP feature is great. It works better for me and the layout and graphics are better too. I use a Pogoplug with UPNP turned on and it found all my files and played them without any problem at all.

Is there a way to get it to scale 4:3 content properly? It worked (mostly – anamorphic didn't) fine before the latest update, but now everything gets stretched to fill the screen, and that looks awful.

There is improvement on the interface and faster navigating the folders however
STILL IN BETA it has been over a year and still in BETA 1 7 3 1
STILL NO RESUME PLAYBACK
STILL NO FF OR RW CHANGE OF SPEEDS ONLY SLOW FF X2 IT WOULD BE NICE X16 X32
but I still love this box due to it functions
I still wish they would enable a slingcatcher option or APPS

When using the Media Renderer selection in the Easter Egg and transmitting with and iPhone using iMediaShare I am able to view videos and music projected to a TV. When trying to view pictures (jpg's) I get the message on the TV screen saying "Unsupported Media Format Press ok to go back"
Wondering if this is an issue with the Easter Egg programming or the iMediaShare app?

I doubt it is an issue with the iMediaShare app probably the Vulkano's media Renderer setup. But that is just my guess. I have a similar issue when using the UPNP player and pics.
It could be a format or size issue with the pictures too but I have not tried to pin it down to anything specific.

I would dearly love to have this DLNA support work on the Mobile and PC players. I don't typically have a TV hooked up to my Vulkano as it's primary purpose is to give me remote access on my Android phone, my laptop when I'm travelling and on my PC in my home office (where I don't have a cable jack).
This would be sooooo great an achievement, I'd be willing to pay for it as a plugin to the players.

Another thing is that the video is 720 x 576 — the aspect ratio is zoomed and stretched across the screen. Is there a way to change the aspect ratio? Like Zoom (or shrink, if applicable), Zoom and Stretch, and Original Aspect?
I'm facing exactly the same issue here. I have a NAS running Twonky and never had any streaming problems with any device in my lan. I mostly use my PS3 as media player without any issues but my brand new Vulkano Blast is having a hard time. It takes forever to show folders and their contents, I never could make it display any of my pictures (JPG files) and even SD video streaming (AVI) is extremely choppy as it keeps pausing for buffering every 10 seconds or so. Very frustrating 
Can you share what changes you made to your network to improve DLNA/UPnP streaming to Vulkano?

I stumbled on to this thread and tried it. Fantastic!!! This is a great additional feature that this customer is very grateful for
. I now use it to stream movies from other computers in my home. If you don't have Windows 7 for DLNA, try Servioo. It is a very simple and free DLNA server. Thanks Monsoon!!
