Hi, I just bought a Vulkano Flow. I have set everything up correctly and I have my remote stream to manully top out at 2500 kbps. I have Time Warner Extreme which gives me 30 mbps down and 5 mbps up. Speed tests show I get about 28 mbps avg and 4.8 mbps up. I have checked and double checked everything and I cannot seem to go higher the 608 kbps when remote veiwing on my Android on verizon with LTE 4g. Im stumped. I am on component only. All firmware is up to date. Any help would be extemley appreciated.

PS Wireless is turned of on the Flow and I am hardwired.

Thanks in advance.

What is the quality setting on your mobile app ?  Normal will be about 500-600k  Med. about 800-1000k High 1000-2.5m

I made sure it was set to 'High" Unless there is a bug with Ice Cream Sandwich on my Galaxy Nexus.

What happens if you connect using the PC player?  If that shows a higher rate I would guess that your cell carrier is limiting you download speed.    Also at 600k with the high quality setting you should see video quality degraded, skipped frames ,etc.

Damn you may be right. I will have to test that. My local is great. Matter of fact it was great when I tried it on my desktop at work. I really hope its not Verizon behind this. =(

This sucks. My I just spoke to my friend that has a Slingbox Solo and he also has verizon. He told me he gets 1.5-2 on his Nexus on LTE. Something is fishy. btw thanks for you help so far.

I do not have LTE so my speeds are going to be slower.  Try checking your cell speed with a app form the market.  OpenSignals is very useful for this.

Yeah I see.

The Mobile app certainly has some issues.

On my HTC Flyer tablet even on Wifi, in med or high quality, the video plays at half speed even though the audio is normal and the bandwidth is 1.8 mbs  Normal (low) quality plays fine.
